My grandpa artificially inseminating canaries in Rio, December 2008.

For your consideration we attach a video about articilial insemination preformed by Mr Lima... do not do it at home!

In the video (undertitled in Portougese) the breeder claims that the she bird have an egg about to be expelled and that circumstance give me doubts about the actual procedure performed.

Not to mention my concerns about the igenical safety of the method used to inseminate (blowing) using a pump will be a better solution.

Anyhow we remind you:

A) extract the sperm in the early afternoon (maximum fertility of the male)

B) Uselfunness of the massage before on the male and aftyer to the famale

C) Possibility to diluite the sperm with:
- liquid Tyrode
- Liquid Ringer
- NZ CI 0.84%

In Italy Mr De Baseggio in is book used to perform the same insemination.
